  Our family discovered the Green Bean when we were in town this summer on vacation. We liked it so much we ended up going back multiple times. It is an upscale cafe with a decidedly local feel to it. the coffee and snack selections are excellent and the staff are very, very friendly. They even remembered us from our first visit and struck up a conversation with us! The cafe is very family variety with a pretty decent sized seating area in side (maybe 8 or so tables). It is on the main stretch in Spearfish, just off the hwy, but it is in a remodeled home so it isn't obviously a cafe when you drive by. The shop's sign is outside on the corner of their property, but it is slightly hidden from the road. If you don't know where it is or what you're looking for, you would easily miss it. There isn't any parking lot, so you will have to locate street-side parking when you visit. They do have a drive through, but it is clearly a very popular place and every time we went there was easily a line of 6 to 8 cars in the driveway. If you're in Spearfish looking for a good cup of coffee and excellent service, then this is the place to go!

  The food is fantastic--especially the grilled sandwiches. We have loved the coffee and service here for years.
